Heat wave taking temperatures into the 90s this week

High temperatures will remain in the 90s all week, with a high of 98 degrees expected tomorrow. The humidity will make these temperatures feel even hotter. Waste Operations completes leachate tank cleanout

The Waste Operations team recently completed maintenance of the Oak Ridge Reservation Landfill V Leachate Collection System Holding Tanks. Leachate, a liquid usually caused by rainwater that drains from the landfill, is pumped to one of two 125,000-gallon holding tanks. Workers perform maintenance every two to three years.
