As the physical and mental demands of environmental cleanup continue to evolve, UCOR’s new program, Thrive, represents a commitment to continuously improving the health, resilience, and long-term wellbeing of its workforce.
By combining existing programs under one umbrella, employees will have more and easier access to resources they need to stay healthy, fit for duty, and prepared to safely perform their jobs—helping ensure they can go home in the same condition that they came to work.
Each Thrive program plays a unique role in supporting the workforce.
- Health Services provides occupational medical care designed to advocate for your health, keeping employees fit for duty and mission ready. Its services are vast, and their program is expanding so this support can fit more of the workforces needs.
- Elevate, UCOR’s wellness program, focuses on helping employees build healthier lifestyles through wellness challenges and educational campaigns. Their services are more than you think to help you become a healthier you, and their support will be expanding as well.
- The Mental Wellbeing Center provides confidential support to employees navigating life’s personal and professional challenges. The center offers consultation, coaching, counseling, grief support, relationship guidance, and more to help employees build resilience and improve their overall wellbeing.
While these programs have long served UCOR employees individually, Thrive creates a unified approach focused on improving quality of life and supporting long-term career sustainability. The Mental Wellbeing Center will work with our other wellness programs while ensuring reports stay separated to keep its commitment of confidentiality.
By supporting employees’ physical health, mental wellbeing, and overall wellness, the initiative helps build a resilient workforce capable of safely delivering one of the nation’s most important environmental cleanup missions.
Over the next few weeks, you will see more information come out on what these programs offer, the faces behind the programs, and get questions answered directly from the SMEs themselves.
