TeamsCount award goes to Alpha-4 ventilation team

Congratulations to Chris Garringer and Tim Carty for receiving a TeamsCount Award! The duo was recognized for their proactive problem-solving and commitment to safety.  Y-12 deactivation and demolition crews needed to access existing crane hatch panels in the Alpha-4 facility to install ventilation fans. However, there was not enough information on the panel design for Carty to determine a definitive load carrying capacity, so he requested the help of Garringer to help research. Garringer was able to locate the manufacturers catalog for the panels supporting Carty’s determination of the load carrying capacity. This small but mighty team worked together to achieve a common goal allowing cleanup progress to continue at Y-12
