Since the beginning of our contract, we have consistently met or exceeded our small business goals. More than 80 percent of our subcontracted work is committed to small businesses. Additionally, UCOR hosts small business forums to provide information about how to obtain contracts with UCOR.

2025 Awards
Annually, several small businesses that are doing work with UCOR are selected to receive an award for outstanding service and mission support. These businesses demonstrate a commitment to safety and excellence, which aligns with UCOR’s core values.
Since UCOR began its current contract with OREM in 2022, it has far exceeded DOE’s goal of awarding 45% of subcontracting work to small businesses. In the past 3 years, UCOR has awarded 85% of its work, totaling $770 million, to small businesses.
