Renee Salazar-Romero has been named UCOR’s Mission Assurance & Controls Director, effective Nov. 3.
Renee is currently serving as Program Manager with Longenecker & Associates, managing the company’s portfolio of projects in support of Sandia National Laboratories. During her 25-plus years of experience, she has also supported national laboratories in Argonne and Los Alamos. At Argonne National Laboratory, she served as Performance Assurance Manager, overseeing the site’s Contractor Assurance Program and managing the Laboratory’s integrated Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan. She also developed and managed the Laboratory’s Enterprise Risk Management Program to ensure risks were identified, analyzed, managed, and communicated. At Los Alamos National Laboratory, she served as a Senior Contractor Assurance specialist, where she assisted with designing, developing, and implementing the site’s performance-based management and assurance system.
Prior to her program management role at Longenecker & Associates, she worked as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sigma Science, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was responsible for setting and driving organizational strategies and leading implementation of activities to enable company-wide success.
Renee has a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the College of Sante Fe.
