A nonconforming item refers to any item—ranging from raw materials to fully assembled products—that does not meet one or more of its established requirements, standards, or specifications.
The following part numbers (PN) and national stock numbers (NSN) have been identified:
- PN: 3M891-4 – Nut, Plain, Slotted, Hexagon (NSN: 5310-00-400-5470)
- PN: 92197-14-61 – Bolt, Machine (NSN: 5306-01-298-7332)
- PN: E0104-428 – Nut, Self-Locking, Extended Washer, Double Hexagon (NSN: 5310-00-800-6994)
- PN: GYN1810 – Nut, Self-Locking, Extended Washer, Double Hexagon (NSN: 5310-00-123-2499)
Reported deficiencies include, but are not limited to:
- Missing manufacturer markings
- Incorrect materials used in production
- Improper finishes or coatings
- Incorrect mechanical features or wrenching geometry
- Lack of required self-locking capability in self-locking nuts
