At ORNL Building 3038 (Isotope Development Lab), the project team developed a new way to deploy its RADCOM team. Building 3038 is separated by an internal wall that required two separate Boundary Control Stations and four RADCON technicians to support the work there. The team built an external corridor connecting the two sides of the building to one Boundary Control Station, reducing the RADCON technician staff at the station and freeing up the staff for UCOR to support cleanup progress on the ORNL campus.
