UCOR’s Transuranic Waste Processing Center (TWPC) completed its eighth and final FY 2025 shipment to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant yesterday. To date, TWPC crews have completed shipment of more than 7,200 waste canisters to WIPP. They have processed, repackaged, and certified for disposal approximately 98 percent of Oak Ridge’s inventory of legacy TRU debris waste.
