Recently, UCOR’s Training and Development Program successfully transferred all UCOR Teamster’s training requirements to the subcontractor, Turnkey.
The Teamsters are a labor union organization that offers trade in a wide range of industries. Their focus is transporting employees and materials on and off site.
Transferring Teamster’s training requirements to Turnkey made sense due to their aligned scope of work. This transition allows training to be monitored and controlled by the subcontractor, leading to higher-quality training and work performed by Teamsters for UCOR’s mission.
The Teamster’s UCOR Training Point of Contact (TPOC), Bailey Jackson, initiated the effort to make the transition happen as smoothly as possible. To ensure this, Jackson managed the transfer of all Teamster’s LEARN accounts and Training Position Descriptions (TPDs) to Turnkey. This allowed each teamster’s training to be properly assigned, benefiting both the subcontractor and the Teamsters.
Great job for ensuring the workforce receives quality training to complete UCOR’s mission safely.
