UCOR welcomed its summer intern class on May 20 and its our largest one to date. Our 2024 class has 42 students from 14 schools across 10 states. The students will work across a broad range of fields needed to complete our cleanup work for DOE, including supply chain, business analytics, engineering, human resources, communications, and industrial hygiene.
In addition to interns who applied directly through UCOR, the class includes students from DOE’s Mentorship for Environmental Scholars (MES) Program, which actively recruits undergraduates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and other minority-serving institutions.
