UCOR Emergency Services has developed an Emergency Actions Guide to provide response recommendations for a wide variety of threats and hazards. If severe weather occurs, specifically tornados, UCOR’s Emergency Management Program recommends the above and notes to use the Emergency Action plans posted on the walls of your facility, locating your specific Take Cover/Shelter areas.
Additionally, to put your skills to the test, a take cover exercise will be held Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Drill locations include the UCOR cleanup campus, EMDF, EMWMF, and Heritage Center/ETTP. Personnel located at 1916-T2/T3, ORNL, and Y-12 will not participate. ORNL’s take cover exercise will be March 25.
Review the action guide for severe weather and use the attached PDF for a downloadable and print-friendly version. Field workers can contact their Facility Manager for a printed copy. Facility-specific protective action instructions are found on the Emergency Action Plan wall postings.
