The Mental Wellbeing Center (MWC) celebrated its one-year anniversary last month, having successfully supported over 140 clients. Of those, over 99 percent reported improved mental well-being. This translated into significant value, with an estimated $669,000 in cost-savings from retention and $620,000 in increased productivity. The team is very proud of being able to help clients navigate challenges or simply pursue a better life.
With this positive momentum and in alignment with UCOR’s long-term strategic planning, the MWC will be transitioning from Environmental Programs and Stewardship to Safety & Security. This move will enable the MWC to continue its role as a confidential resource to enhance employee wellbeing and strengthen UCOR’s mission-readiness.
This organizational change will not alter the MWC’s services or operational independence. The MWC will maintain its distinct functional framework, including separate systems and records to ensure that required client documentation is always kept confidential and securely separate from any other records. Access to these records is strictly restricted to the MWC.
The MWC will also continue operating with the same dedicated staff, ensuring continuity of care from the trusted professionals already in place.
Most importantly, employee privacy will be fully maintained, as privacy remains of utmost importance to the MWC’s operations. All conversations with the MWC will remain completely confidential.
The MWC will continue to provide accessible, confidential, and impactful mental health and wellbeing support, remaining a vital resource for all employees and contributing to the safety and well-being of the workforce.
