The three elements of Mission Readiness—mental preparedness, physical preparedness, and training preparedness—work together. If one is compromised, our ability to safely perform work could be compromised.
UCOR’s new THRIVE initiative enhances your ability to be Mission Ready by bringing Health Services, Elevate Wellness, and the Mental Wellbeing Center under one umbrella.
These programs provide resources that can help you remain healthy, resilient, fit for duty, and prepared to safely perform your job:
Health Services: Health Services serves as an advocate for our workforce with over 160 years of combined experience. They provide occupational medical care, fitness-for-duty evaluations, injury and illness evaluations, health monitoring, screenings, return-to-work support, medication education, routine surveillance monitoring, and individualized health guidance in collaboration with Elevate Wellness to keep you physically prepared. The goal is to help employees safely perform UCOR’s mission while remaining healthy—so they can go home in the same condition they came to work.
Elevate Wellness: Elevate Wellness is focused on helping employees find the most sustainable version of themselves by encouraging realistic, lasting approaches to health and wellbeing. Specifically, Elevate focuses on improving your quality of life, longevity, and resilience through wellness coaching, challenges, health education, nutrition resources, physical activity opportunities, and preventive health programming. These resources support the everyday habits that contribute to long-term health and physical preparedness.
Mental Wellbeing Center: The Mental Wellbeing Center provides free, confidential support for life’s personal and professional challenges. Resources include consultation, counseling, professional coaching, grief and relationship support, personal development resources, and referrals. Whether facing a difficult situation or simply working to strengthen overall wellbeing, employees have a confidential resource available to help you be mentally prepared.
If you notice someone struggling or believe a coworker could benefit from one of these resources, be a wingman. Encourage them to seek the support available through THRIVE.
