The Highway 95 bridge over the Clinch River (near Woodlawn Road) will be reduced to one lane starting Monday.
Motorists will be directed through the work zone with a temporary traffic signal. This traffic pattern will be in place until late August 2026. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
Congestion will be particularly heavy during primary commute times. Those who regularly travel this route know that the traffic is already congested, so the lane closure will make the commute a bit more challenging. However, please exercise patience as you travel through this area to ensure you arrive home safely each day.
ORNL and Y-12 are assessing measures to minimize the impact, including potential shift changes and/or proposed alternative routes. Look for updates through UCOR Newsline and POD notes.
