To the UCOR workforce:
A federal government shutdown could begin Oct. 1 due to a lapse in appropriations. Please remember that if a shutdown occurs, you should continue to report to work. UCOR has sufficient funding to continue normal operations for at least 6 weeks.
We will keep you updated as we learn more. Despite the distraction that any potential shutdown may cause, we must continue being diligent and abiding by our strong safety culture to ensure an accident-free work environment. Stay focused on the task at hand and remember that safety is always a prerequisite to the work we perform.
