Workers remove water tank shields in Isotope Row
Workers in ORNL’s former Isotope Development Lab (Building 3038) are removing the water tanks that shielded hot cells as they prepare to remove the hot cells from the portion of the building known as the Alpha Handling Facility. Removing this equipment is necessary to support ongoing deactivation and prepping the facility for demolition.
