UCOR team members attended the 2025 Covenant Health Artsclamation! Preview Party last week. Artsclamation! is a fine arts show and sale benefitting Peninsula Hospital, including the Senior Behavioral Health Center at Parkwest Medical Center and the Peninsula Outpatient Center at Methodist Medical Center. Peninsula’s mission is to help people recover from mental disorders and dependencies so they can lead healthy, positive, and productive lives. The event featured over 50 artists, painters, jewelers, potters, and sculptors, including artwork created by mental health consumers in Peninsula’s Recovery Education Center’s therapeutic programs.
One in four people in East Tennessee suffer from a mental health illness. However, there is a significant gap in funding for programs to serve these individuals compared to other diseases and diagnoses. Artsclamation! is Peninsula’s only fundraiser and helps to fill some of the gaps left in those funding sources. Proceeds in past years have funded garden courtyards for adult patients, vans for transporting clients in outpatient programs, play areas for hospitalized children, therapeutic games, and activity supplies.
UCOR was the Platinum Circle sponsor of this year’s event, which has provided over $1 million for Peninsula’s mission over the past 23 years. Funds generated through the 2025 art sale will enhance patient care programs and support counseling and therapy services provided at Peninsula Hospital and outpatient clinics across our region.
