UCOR was one of six organizations on a project team to receive an Environmental Protection Agency’s Federal Facility Excellence in Site Reuse award for work at the East Tennessee Technology Park. The project team also included the DOE Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management, CROET, EPA Region 4, City of Oak Ridge, and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Among the EPA award criteria were working cooperatively and developing partnerships, innovating beneficial reuse outcomes, and creating jobs, fostering economic development/recreational opportunities, and sustaining mission support.
