UCOR hosted the first ever comprehensive training session on Joulix, led by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) AI Hub group. Joulix is DOE’s AI Productivity suite and is available to contractors across the Oak Ridge Reservation.
The training, coordinated by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) East Tennessee Chapter, brought together almost 100 professionals from ORNL, Y-12, UCOR, and various other local contractors and businesses to UCOR’s 701 Scarboro Meet + Train facility. The NCMA East Tennessee Chapter focuses on bringing diverse professionals in contract management together to learn, discuss, and gain insight.
Members from the AI Hub/DOE group taught personnel practical applications relevant to the contractor community. Attendees learned valuable insights and gained hands-on experience with Joulix.
Jeff Burgan, UCOR’s Supply Chain Manager, and Beth Straub, Contract Compliance Director, were among the many UCOR Buyers and Subcontract Administrators who participated. The attendance by more than 100 professionals demonstrated an eagerness within the contractor community to adopt advanced tools to enhance operational excellence at UCOR.
