To the UCOR workforce:
Last night, the federal government shut down due to a lapse in appropriations. UCOR operations will continue, and as previously noted, you should continue to report to work. UCOR has sufficient funding to continue normal operations for approximately 6 weeks.
During the shutdown, all business travel must be approved by the President’s office. If you have any questions, please talk with your supervisor or submit a question on the UCOR Hub’s discussion site.
We will keep you updated on any new developments. Despite the distractions this shutdown may cause, please maintain focus and remember that safety is always a prerequisite to the work we perform.
