The Transuranic Waste Processing Center (TWPC) team was part of the inaugural Professional Development with Team Dynamics training.
This new class was created in response to an inquiry about offering a version of the Amentum Supervisor Training Program (STP) specifically for teams. Previously, there was no content to offer, but this new training was developed through efforts by Veronica Hoffman and the Training and Workforce Development organizations.
The class educates teams on topics such as self-leadership, motivation, emotional intelligence, ownership, critical thinking, and time management. Part of the program involves a DISC behavioral tendencies assessment of each team member that is used to generate a report identifying areas of team strengths, as well as areas where the team dynamics can be improved. This class is presented in a workshop format with an emphasis on how each person can grow as an individual while supporting one another to contribute to an even more effective team.
