Throwback Thursday – Low Intensity Test Reactor

In 2023, UCOR crews safely demolished and removed the three-story Low Intensity Test Reactor at ORNL. This 20,000-lb reactor required precision and meticulous training to safely tear down and remove. By April of 2024, the reactor was successfully removed, and the site was cleared for future science missions. Click the link above to view this project.
