UCOR’s RISE network wrapped up its “Cradle to Grave” series, intended to bring the workforce subject matter experts to speak on specific disciplines, bridging the gap between our diverse workforce of support and field staff. Organizations that took part in the series includes Safety & Health, Surveillance & Maintenance, Characterization, Deactivation and Demolition, and Environmental Operations. Shortly after the series wrapped up, RISE took the workforce on a tour of White Wing Scrapyard (WWSY).
RISE network leaders, Atira Ayers, Operations Support Specialist; Jake Lehman, WWSY Safety Specialist; and senior sponsor Bobby Alread, Safety & Health Manager, helped coordinate the tour. WWSY subject matter experts Brian Jacobs, Field Superintendent; Adam Johnson, RSI lead; and Mary Wilson, a project manager, discussed recent project milestones and what’s to come.
RISE intends to plan additional series going into the new year to continue bringing the workforce valuable information about all the different integral disciplines that help execute UCOR’s mission.
