Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month just ended, but that doesn’t mean our commitment to one another has. Connections made, conversations had, and the awareness we have created can continue to show others we are here to listen to without judgment.
If you were unable to attend our September workshop Every Life Matters – Stronger Together, you can read our latest article at Navigates Mental Wellbeing page on UCOR Hub. Most of this workshop was devoted to an open Question & Answer session covering a wide range of topics on suicide and suicide prevention. The participation level shows that our culture of caring at UCOR extends far beyond just information gathering. Audience members asked deep, thoughtful questions and lead counselor Kenneth Williams provided in-depth answers that were real, heart-felt, and action worthy.
Please reach out the Mental Wellbeing Center at 865-535-8558 if you have any questions or would like to know more about Suicide Awareness.
