Werner has issued a recall for its 20-ft and 24-ft Multi-Max Pro multipurpose ladders due to a fall hazard. The ladders’ locking mechanism can jam and not fully lock into place. The company has received 18 reports of falls, including 14 reports of injuries resulting in bruising, lacerations, head injuries, and fractures to the wrist, leg, and ribs. The ladders were sold in silver with a blue top and a blue label on the side rail.
The label includes an oval containing the word “Werner” next to the words “MULTI MAX PRO,” along with the size and model number ALMP-20IAA or ALMP-24IAA. The ladders also have a long black rope in the back section.
