Because of the possible inclement weather, UCOR IT encourages employees who have laptops to take them home over the weekend in case of a delayed start or closure Monday.
For assistance with computer issues, please refer to the IT Purple Card for information on submitting Help Desk tickets (please see your administrative assistant if you do not have a Purple Card).
How to submit tickets remotely – off the network
- Send an email from your personal email address (i.e., gmail) to helpline@orcc.doe.gov. Enter details of the issue as well as your computer number and contact phone number in the body of the email. This will automatically generate a ticket in our Helpdesk queue and one of our agents will contact you.

Accessing Citrix for remote work
- Open a web browser window (MS Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari) enter the web address: https://gateway.orcc.energy.gov
- Citrix login credentials are entered through Microsoft:
- Username: Email address
- Password: Enter your long Windows password (15+ character UCOR Network password)
- Approve the sign-in request on Microsoft Authenticator
- Click “Detect Citrix Workspace app”. If not installed, either install or “Use Light Version”
- Click “Open Citrix Workspace”
NOTE: Select either “Remote Desktop” from the Citrix Storefront screen or go into the Desktops tab and select “Desktop – 2022”.
