Last week, roughly 30 members of the National Transuranic Program (NTP) User Group toured the Transuranic Waste Processing Center (TWPC). The NTP User Group is organized by DOE’s Office of Environmental Management’s Carlsbad Field Office in New Mexico. Participants support the safe, efficient, and compliant management of transuranic waste.
Professionals from across the industry collaborate to identify best practices, lessons learned, and operational improvements to ensure waste shipments to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plan meet regulatory and safety requirements.
