A “cover charge” was collected at the door as a fundraiser. The effort raised $300, which will be used to purchase approximately 55 half gallons of milk and 45 cartons of eggs for UCOR’s school pantry at Ridge View Elementary School in Rockwood, the first school pantry to be opened in Roane County. Intern Program leads Allison Lloyd and Shannon Potter added to funds raised to include butter and jelly in the summer monthly distributions. The pantry serves around 80 people (students and their family members) each month.
