Your HSPD-12 or LSSO badge is property of the United States Government and plays a critical role in protecting our facilities, personnel, and information. Whether you are transitioning to a new role, completing a contract, separating from the company, or entering short‑ or long‑term leave, following the proper procedures for returning your badge is essential.
Please keep the following responsibilities in mind:
- How and where to return your badge – Please return your badge to the UCOR Badge Office at 701 Scarboro or there are drop boxes for uncleared badges located at 701 Scarboro and 100 Union Valley.
- Timely return – All HSPD-12 and LSSO badges must be returned on or before the last day of employment or contract work.
- Clearance debriefing – All personnel who possess a Q or L security clearance must complete a security clearance debriefing on or before the last day of employment or contract work.
- If your badge is lost, stolen, or damaged – Please report any loss, theft, or damage immediately to the UCOR Badging Office so it can be deactivated and properly documented.
- Security impact – Timely return and proper handling of credentials ensures that your facility access is cleared and that all security protocols are maintained without interruption.
Failure to return your badge promptly may affect your final administrative processing with UCOR. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and commitment to safeguarding our workplace.
If you have any questions about this process, please don’t hesitate to contact Chris Tate at 865‑294‑2605 or the UCOR Badging Office at 865‑574‑9804.
Thank you for your continued support of our security responsibilities and for helping maintain the integrity of our organization.
