Standard Nuclear, Inc., a producer of TRISO nuclear fuel located at ETTP, has announced that it received a critical shipment of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) feedstock at its Oak Ridge facility. Standard Nuclear is the first company to both receive DOE authorization and physically receive HALEU for production of advanced TRISO fuel for next-generation nuclear reactors. Standard is partnering on fuel production with Radiant, which announced in October that it will build advanced microreactors on ETTP property cleaned up by UCOR.
