The June episode of Energycast covers a variety of topics. Crews started another demolition project at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in June, marking the first time multiple teardowns have occurred simultaneously at the site. Employees also completed the first phase of data gathering required to finalize the design for a new disposal facility. Orano USA opened its office in Oak Ridge. The nuclear company announced the largest investment in Tennessee’s history last year, and the recent ribbon cutting is the latest in that effort moving forward.
