These alerts can provide critical, real-time information such as severe weather warnings, natural disasters, public safety alerts, and AMBER alerts.
Below are the simple steps to check and enable alerts:
For iPhone Users (iOS 14 and newer):
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Notifications
3. Scroll to the bottom
4. Under Government Alerts, toggle ON the following:
• AMBER Alerts
• Emergency Alerts
• Public Safety Alerts (if available)
• Test Alerts (optional, for government testing purposes)
If you don’t see these options, your carrier may not support them, or your device might need a software update.

1. Open the Settings app
2. Tap Safety & emergency or Notifications
3. Select Wireless Emergency Alerts or Emergency Alerts
4. Toggle ON the following:
• Extreme Threats
• Severe Threats
