UCOR prohibits disposal of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and vaping cartridges at UCOR’s sanitary trash, recycle containers, or outdoor ashtrays/cigarette butt receptacles. They are considered hazardous waste and disposing of these products onsite could subject UCOR to a regulatory violation.
E-cigarettes and vaping cartridges are considered personal property and must be properly disposed or recycled by their user at home and off the reservation. Please reference PPD-EC-1747, Environmental Compliance Program Section 16.8 E-CIGARETTES AND VAPING CARTRIDGES for more information.
A regulatory violation could result in significant negative impact to UCOR, such as impact to reputation, a fine, or negative enforcement action by our regulators. Any employee who is found responsible violating this procedure may also incur disciplinary action such as a written warning, suspension, or potential termination of employment.
