Today is the perfect time to recognize our finance team, who are the accountants and financial professionals who help maintain the economic health of our organization. Among the things they do for UCOR are managing payroll, timekeeping, accounts receivable & payable, and financial reporting. The next time you get your payroll deposit, think about these folks who are working behind the scenes to get that money to you.
Today was selected as International Accounting Day because it commemorates the 1494 publication of Luca Pacioli’s work that introduced the double-entry bookkeeping system—a foundational element of modern accounting. Pacioli was an Italian mathematician and Franciscan friar who collaborated with Leonardo da Vinci.
