ORNL’s Everbridge, the Laboratory Shift Superintendent (LSS) notification system, [has been] will be upgraded to a newer version to improve the reliability, security, and overall performance of our emergency notification system.
As part of this upgrade, current LSS Alert subscriptions will not carry over to the new system. If you are subscribed to LSS Alerts, you will need to re-subscribe today or afterward to continue receiving emergency and important notifications.
If you have never subscribed before, this is also a good opportunity to sign up.
What is LSS Alerts?
LSS Alerts is a service used by the LSS to notify personnel of emergencies, traffic and road conditions, inclement weather, protective actions, security situations, and other important information affecting the ORNL area.
All ORNL staff are automatically signed up to receive emergency notifications through their work email. By subscribing through a personal mobile device, you can also receive text messages from LSS regarding emergency notifications and other important updates.
Subscription is voluntary and is limited to employees and visitors. This service allows LSS to provide initial and updated information during emergency conditions or other situations that could significantly affect you.
