The Training department is implementing updates to the LEARN platform this week to streamline required reading, improve reporting functionalities, and address requirements. These changes primarily affect how required readings are categorized and reported, specifically, they are now labeled as “immediate,” or “awareness.” Immediate required reading is necessary to complete your job scope.
Key changes include:
- Expanded Program Matrix Report (PMR): The Program Matrix Report (PMR), Supervisor Dashboard, and Personnel Action Form (PAF) reports will now distinguish between “immediate” and “awareness” required readings. The PMR is also being enhanced to allow reporting on single courses or documents.
- Streamlined Reporting Access: The “Reports” link in the left navigation frame will be removed. Users should utilize the “Tabbed Reports” link, which provides access to the same reports.
- Consolidated Training Reports: The Training Matrix Report and the Required Reading Training Matrix Report are being retired, as their functions are now integrated and superseded by the expanded Program Matrix Report.
These updates aim to provide more strategic prioritization to ensure alignment with current training practices or documentation to meet standards or regulations. These updates will allow required readings to be properly assigned to Training Program Documents (TPDs), ensuring mission-readiness and compliance.
