UCOR hosted ~140 teachers, principals, and administrators from Roane County Schools during this week’s Roane Alliance Professional Development Day. Educators were introduced to current and future opportunities for students around the Oak Ridge nuclear renaissance. In addition to UCOR, groups visited ORNL, Y-12, Oak Ridge Enhanced Technology and Training Center, K-25 History Center, TVA Clinch River Project, Orano, and Roane State Community College.
Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Management Chris Caldwell and Communications and Community Outreach Manager Shannon Potter provided an introduction to UCOR, cleanup accomplishments, future projects on the Oak Ridge Reservation, and career pathways for students to follow upon graduation.
