The summer interns would like to thank everyone who donated to make their “Pack the Van” event a success. In total, “Pack the Van” brought in 6,020 food items and several monetary donations. Congratulations to the class for exceeding this year’s goal to beat the class of 2022’s project.
The food drive benefited Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee’s Food for Kids Program. The program currently benefits 15,099 children at 296 schools in the East Tennessee region. In the last four years, UCOR’s sponsorship has provided meals for over 560 children in Anderson and Roane County schools. UCOR’s purchase of the pantry van (pictured here) in 2021 has enabled expansion and development of Second Harvest Food Bank’s food drive outreach.
