Crews at ETTP Heritage Center recently completed dewatering and grouting 11 electrical ductbank vaults in the southeast portion of the K-25 footprint. The ductbank contained cables that once supplied power to K-25 and nearby facilities from the K-704 Switchhouse. Vaults with manhole access were constructed along each duct to access the electrical cables, with most of the cables removed from the vaults in the late 1970s. A total of 78 vaults remain. Dewatering and grouting will continue around the area through the fall.
