Y-12 will conduct a full-scale emergency management exercise on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The exercise is expected to start at approximately 10 a.m. (Post 8 to Old Bear Creek) and continue at 1 p.m. (West of Old Bear Creek and East of Post 8). During this time, follow all directions from the Y-12 Operations Center and Security personnel. This may include protective actions, temporary portal closures, etc. Please remain clear of exercise areas and limit calls to the Y-12 Operations Center during these hours.
Protective actions issued during the exercise will apply to the UCOR workforce located in the area where they are issued. Please follow all instructions given. For sheltering, occupants should report to their designated area and conduct a walk though of appropriate actions. Occupants are not required to shut down ventilation systems. Please report any issues found after the exercise to your Local Emergency Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.
UCOR Emergency Services will support the drill by providing controller/evaluators at select UCOR facilities/assembly stations. All members of the UCOR workforce at Y-12 are expected to participate.
